Bennett's baseball game tonight got cancelled because of the storm, so I got a couple solid hours of work in. The top part of the truss on both sides is done and fully welded. Next step is welding onto the housing and finishing the lower control arm mounts, shock mounts, and tracbar.

I have a couple bling surprises coming to finish this out. Hopefully everything shows up in time...

Another productive evening.

All trussed up with nowhere to go.

Truss is done and fully welded. The rest of the week is games because of the makeup and regularly scheduled. Saturday I should be able to do the c gussets and have it all ready to go out for gears.

We planned to just weld the c gussets today and let Performance 4x4 do the center section welding, but it was going well so we did it all.

I was going to go ahead and press out the old ball joints and paint, but Jimbo texted me that parts were in so we ran to Greenwood.

She's ready for the transplant. OSCAR is when?

And some more of the bling.

RPM 1 ton TJ to JK tie rod and 2.5 ton tie rod. I didn't necessarily want to go with the 2.5 ton but the tie rods the 1 ton uses don't fit stock wheels without spacers and these do.

Transferring some of the info from OSCAR thread to build thread.

I picked up the geared housing from Performance 4x4 at lunch on Monday. After Bennett's baseball game I got started on it around 8:30 pm and wrapped it up for the night a little after 1:00 am. I had a few little issues but nothing too serious.

Tuesday right after work Tripp came over and we got it mounted under the jeep.

Wednesday night we finished it up.

When I backed out of the garage we had major driveshaft to exhaust clearance issues. We heated and dented the pipe a few times and got it drivable but was still hitting. After consulting Carolina Driveline on the way to OSCAR, before unloading off the trailer I clearance the yoke with a flap wheel. This reduced the interference to very minor and certain flex situations.

It needs a little more clearance and to be aligned better but it worked great. I'm not sure why, but it seams easier to steer when locked. I also have more steering angle and less tire rubbage with the wider axles and rcv joints.

Scratched the bling...

Next on the list is a frame side track bar mount relocation and the front should be good to go.
