This offer fell through, but continuing the cleanup. There is a 14x70 house trailer behind the house that was a storage building and was never cleaned out. We moved 3 truckloads of stuff out over the weekend for my parents to go through, and left a lot more.

We disconnected the power and have it ready to be demolished.

Didn't take any cool pictures, except this 1981 Clemson National Championship blanket that has been mouse chewed...

what does it cost to have a trailer hauled off? did they use it for scrap? was it a they pay you for it, or you pay them to take it?
It was $2k. Said it cost him $400/load to landfill. They did pull the siding to recycle. I wasn't down there and didn't see if they did anything with copper/steel.

A cousin came over yesterday to get some wood to make some furniture. While digging around I turned over a piece from an old barrel that had fallen apart and saw

C D B
LEES

C D Barr was my great great grandfather, son of James Michael Barr who built this house. Digging through the rest of the pile I found 2 more slats that complete the logo.
