High horsepower precision driving at it's best. Can you imagine having that much of San Francisco as your playground?

eh, seems like a good idea..but we will see how it tows... at $4 a gal right now for fuel, vs the $3.50 for gas would it really be worth it in the long run? diesel fuel has not really changed much over the years like gas has, but it has always stayed more expensive as well...

Diesel fuel has changed...however possibly for the worse. Its now Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. I know many diesel engines needs Uric Acid Injection (AKA the piss) to pass emissions. Dunno if any of the big American 1 ton diesels require it but I see it on 18 wheelers and most of the german diesels (sans VWs and Audis).

Unless you go stupid small diesel, I don't really think there is much advantage. Unless I'm like Jim who drive 2 miles a day, I'll probably always have a sedan to rack up the miles on.

If you're talking 20ish mpg out of a grand cherokee with a gas engine and 30ish out of a diesel, it is definitely worth it. Not to mention the torque.. I wonder if I can convince Burgy to trade the Venza...
