Shallow water anchor

#1
I have been looking at shallow water anchors for a while.
The electric versions are $$$.
I like the pole version, but I'm still a cheap ***.
I found this DIY
http://www.mgs4u.com/shallow-water-boat-anchors.htm
Great for fishermen, kayak'ers.
Trying to get a group buy together. It would help on the cost of shipping.
Rough price is around $25ea for the 3/4" anchor poles.
I'm looking to get 3, any other takers?

Me and my uncle made one of these in order to try and get around buying a power pole for his gheenoe. It worked okay at best. and I couldn't use it hardly any of the places i fish cause they are all rock solid bottom. After working a power pole i will say nothing like this compares. But you pay for a power pole.

The issue is shipping.
It's a flat rate of $29 up to 70lbs. So if I buy 3, the shipping is roughly $10 each.
If I can find enough people to make an order of 10, then it only costs $3 each pole.

So I have been digging. ....
I found a fiberglass solid stock supplier that carries .98" solid stock 72"sections, and black in color.
.98"x72" black solid stock is $8ea shipped.
I'll be using 2 rods, with a steel connector. One end will have a handle to help push it down, along with a loop for tie-off, the other end will have a steel tip for hard bottom areas.
Granger has the handles, and I'll make my own tip.
I'll be ordering by the end of the week, so if your interested you need to get with me by Wednesday at the latest.
:D
