Well to follow up the belly up I decided to install a Novak cable shifter. The mods required to make the factory linkage work with the AEV TT worked just fine but, I wanted a little extra piece of mind. Novaks kit is half the price of Advanced Adapters and use the factory shifter for a very clean install.

Install was smooth and easy. Drop the skid plate and remove all the old stuff. The most difficult part was removing the top bolt on the transmission pivot bracket. Shifts smoothe as butter and no more rattling linkage.
