M101A2

I picked up this M101A2 a couple years ago. The previous owner was setting it up to be an overland trailer behind his Bronco. He had already swapped in a 3500lb electric brake axle with 6x5.5 hubs.



We have used it around the property as a scrap bin, hay rides, and tried to use it as a dump trailer with the tractor.

It was set up to use the factory tail lights as
Stop/tail, but in using for things I shouldn't have i ripped out the wires to one of them. I opened up the wiring box and found that this guy only had a roll of red wire and a roll of blue wire. There are red hots, red grounds, blue grounds, etc. I decided to rewire with standard LED lights and metal boxes.



Then we used it in the town Christmas parade.

After using it on the road a few times, I decided it needed tires. I picked up a set of Bronco takeoffs on the way to Uwharrie. I put the pit crew to work today.

Next little project was mounting a tongue box and the spare tire.



I want to remove a few more unneeded things (like the brake levers) and finish cleaning up the wiring, but its getting there.
