Headed to Idaho for a work trip mid September, Going to rent a car and Em and I are planning to tour around the state, it looks like an amazing part of the country. Anyone have any suggestions for Idaho? Any don't miss stops or foods?

Towns to stop at?

We have 4-5 days and will be flying in to Boise.

My son was posted at Hagerman Fossil beds for a while during the winter of 2017 I think. Very small town of about 800. Thirty minutes from the Snake River. While there he also did some work at the Minadoka Relocation camp for Japanese Americans during World War II.

I just got back from a trip to Oregon and spent quite a bit of time around the Idaho border. Its a beautiful area, Plenty of forrest service roads and BLM roads that you feel like you can see the entire world from.

Idaho did not disappoint. We didn’t have a jeep, but the accidental upgrade to a 4wd expedition max was a welcome surprise. We tested the “rock rails” I think they called them “steps” and the traction control for sure. We spent the first night at a hotel in Atlanta since our flight was delayed and we had to catch the Wednesday morning flight. But we eventually made it to Idaho and spent 5 days seeing all that we could.
