dang ronnie i didnt even noticed the rub bars today those are good lookin sliders. are you gonna long arm the rear anytime soon?
Thanks man. I want to long arm it as soon as I can, short arms work but after watching Caseys and riding in it the stability a 4 link gives is awesome. Got to buy a front axle first and once I get that all paid for in and done Ill start saving for the 4 link. Tube inserts, johnny joints, and dom adds up real quick.

yeah ive started pricing stuff for my hardbody im gonna start build this summer and just the bumpers will use about $250 worth of steel (rough estimate goin off memory of dimension from my last HB)

You need a new steel supplier if that is how much it's gonna cost for bumpers. Last time I priced steel (about 3 months ago) it was $220 for a full 4'x8' sheet of .25 steel. That is more than enough for plate bumpers front and rear, and .25 is over kill any way. .188 is more than enough for the bumper, maybe us .25 or .375 for the mounts.

after wheeling the truck for a little over a year now decided to but a tailgate and bedsides on it. The bed sides are made from rolled plastic from summit racing. oval holes in the tailgate will be backup lights and the brake / tail light will be the red Toyota / PTR cut out backlit.

i was thinking more like 1 piece of 2x4x3/16 tube with a 1.75 .120 wall DOM stinger and rear piece of either the 2x4 or DOM and a shackle mount for the rear seein as i dont have a way to bend or weld steel at home, and maybe mount it with some .25 angle for mounts. the $250 was just looking stuff up on the internet ill have to find a supplier back home this summer.

anybody know any good suppliers in the rockhill area?

Doing a project for work. Making steel cages for the photographers gear, so they can keep their grubby hands off each others crap. Not glamorous but it is interesting. Pretty large structure, just making the outer cages, aligning it all, then after that it will be skin them with expanded metal and make the doors for the compartments. They are in individual stacks so they can be assembled in the room they are going into.

The truss came from ruffstuff and was in two pieces you welded together. It was a "medium" size truss that was generic to fit 1/2 ton axles like 8.8, 44, 9" etc. Ground it down a little and it fit great.

Link mounts. Some welds dont look great on the stiffeners, they penetrated but was my first time welding to the unibody so had a little learning curve.
