So I’ve had this motorhome for a few months and I’m loving it more and more. It’s old and needs some love but overall in pretty good shape. Hoping it will be a good tow rig for the Jeep’s and SxS.
In the presses of checking the mileage but it seems to do pretty good. Went to Folly beach this weekend. Used about a tank and a quarter there and back.
She’s in great mechanical shape except I have a whining noise in the rear axle when coasting. From what I’ve read it’s probably a pinion bearing. I’m pretty sure it’s a 14 bolt full float. Does anyone have any experience with changing that out. I’m not even sure what parts to order.

The nut and part of the shaft. It was sheared off somehow. How does something like that happen? So I guess now I need a new pinion gear. Should I do a ring gear also. Are they matched?
