Snake in driveway, what is it?

Don't know. Animal control is coming later to identify. Hit it with a shovel and it rolled over and played dead. Then commenced to chop it up.

Actually, no. That was him flaring his head out. He had not been touched yet when that pic was taken. He was just pissed.

hognose snakes also often put on threat displays (including neck spreading, hissing, and playing dead - see Behavior, below) when confronted by a predator.
