Meeting Notes 2-21-2011

Thanks for all that attended my first Mid Carolina Jeepers meeting as President. I hope that we started fresh and gave everyone a reason to come back. Here is a run down for those that missed it.

Officers and Members introductions- getting to know each other a bit better.

Linus our treasurer went over the budget matters -
- We started with $969 transferred from 2010 dues
- Paid $25 for the incorporation fee
- Paid $6 for the receipt booklets
- $240 in Dues was collected tonight from 12 members.
- The new total is $1188 as of 2-21-2011

We discussed the New T-shirts They will be $10 each and we will use a Local Columbia Company to print them.

The Shirts will be navy with white logo, but other options were discussed.

Past Trips Discussion:

The Monetta Mud Run and BBQ at Larrys went great, Thanks Larry!!

The Save Gulches Ride was a HUGE success over 700 people in attendance.

Upcoming Trips/Meetings:

March 5 - Exit 33 Ride (Meet at 9am at the gas station on the exit)
- Non Key holders $10 for the day
- We will be doing trail maintenance till lunch time (fixing gates, and plugging illegal entrances.
- Possible Cookout for lunch
- Trail Ride in the afternoon.
- If anyone is interested in becoming a keyholder for exit 33 its $100 per year and renewal is in May.

March 21 - Next MCJ Meeting at Carolina Wings at 7:00pm

March 25-27 Bumpus Cove Trip
- 2.5 hours from columbia
- Stock to Well built trail rigs will have fun
- We will be camping on the trails
- No camping or trail fees for Club members
- Non Club Members $10 per person.

April 16 - Gulches Trip (More info as it becomes available)


We discussed the Technical Requirements for Club Trips

I have the required items posted as a sticky in this forum, but I will post them again here.

- Fire Extenguisher (accessible, not locked in a storage box)
- First Aid Kit
- Tow Strap with Loops (NO HOOKS)
- Working Seatbelts for each person in the vehicle
- Spare Tire (within 2 inches of actual tire, may be left on trailer for 33 or gulches trips ect.)
- Front and Rear tow points
- CB Radio. (we will be having a CB tuning day at the March 21st meeting)


Incorporation

We are now MidCarolina Jeepers Inc. and a Non- Profit organization.
- In order to do this we created a Mission Statement which we will use for MCJ.
- We will be opening a Checking and Paypal account to make payments and reimbursements easier.


We went over officer Duties

And we discussed OffroadSC.com and how it can help us as a club.


We also got updated email addresses from everyone for the Email Roster.
