Ed and I will be leading a ride to Pinnacle Mountain in the Zirconia/Flat Rock NC area on Saturday, October 17th. For those interested, here is the plan:

- 8AM. For those that want to meet for breakfast, we will be at Bill and Fran’s from 8-9am. Take exit 74 off I-26, address is 11724 SC Hwy 34, Newberry SC
- 9:15AM. Leave Bill and Fran’s, head to Zirconia, NC
- 11AM. Stop/Meet up at Marathon Gas/Chuckwagon, 94 Green River Road, Zirconia, NC. If you are interested in making this a weekend trip, you could drive up to the Flat Rock/Hendersonville area on Friday and stay thru Sunday. There are campgrounds, as well as several hotel options such as ‘The Lodge at Flat Rock’ and ‘Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Hendersonville SE’.
- 11AM-2PM. Pinnacle Mountain ride. This trail is stock jeep suitable. However, there are a couple of more challenging ‘playground’ areas that are optional for those that want to practice/test your rigs.
- 2PM. Exit trail and drive to the ‘Marked Tree Vineyard’, 623 Deep Gap Road, Flat Rock, NC. They offer some food/appetizer boards and have nice outdoor seating available. Let me know if you are joining us at the vineyard so I can make reservations ahead of time.
- 4PM. Head home.
