I've never put more than about 18 gallons or so in it. If it holds 26 gallons like it says then the gas light must stay on a LOOOOONG time!

Must be an issue from the factory then, because everyone I know with a Duramax other than LB7 trucks are the same way.

Damn 18 gallons between tanks would suck. I understand you get better gas mileage but damn I would want at least 25 gallons

A very well known issue. As is basically everything electrical on those trucks.

I usually put 20-22 gallons in mine, but I don't normally run it until the light comes on either...
