    Crackerneck open saturdays in september

Saw an article in the greenwood paper and it mentioned jeep trails. Anybody know this area? Is it worth the trip? Reads like it's near SRS. Aiken county?

I routinely go there when it is open. There is nothing challenging, it is all flat and well maintained trails and two-tracks. Now, if you want to go out and sight-see it is a nice place. It has very diverse forest zones such as pine wiods, hardwoods, low lying wetlands, cyprus forests, grasslands, etc... Deer are not that common, but turkeys and hogs are. There is pond tgat you can fish in if you have a SC fishing license. Services are limited in tbe nearby town, there is only a BP station, a Subway and a chinese place. Bring your owns drinks and snacks.

Is that the same thing as Crackerneck WMA? If so, and you get out to walk around, make sure you wear blaze orange.

It is the same place, but the Saturdays in September are for "Non consumptive use," i.e. there will be no hunters.
