    splicing winch rope

Anybody done it? I was winching a motorhome out of the lake last night and broke mine about 5 feet from the end. A new one is hella expensive.

x2! I had mine done on lower 2 years ago and watched my friend use a large screwdriver to do it.

You can do it with 2 ball point pen tubes. The guys at SEO(southeast overland) are experts in it, but im sure youtube or brooks knows how to do it. Steve, one upon a time did classes in it.

I just put a new eye in mine when the last 3 ft broke off. So technically, I'm at like 97ft length. No issues. Broke like, 10 years ago or whatever.

Either way, send it to Steve. Problem solved.
