1986 Volkswagen Transporter

I'm posting this for a friend. Apparently posting on the internet isn't their thing. It's got 4wd, and a locking diff, neither of which are mentioned in the add. Super cool, and pretty fun to ride around. I spent some time cruising in it this summer, and it does run good. PM me, or call his phone number at the bottom. Located in Charlotte, NC.

"The vehicle is garaged kept and*is a great driver. I would not have any reservation taking it across country or for that matter, across North America.*

I have spent well over 10k in 2015 with all new parts including: *OME suspension, BF Goodrich All Terrain tires, stainless steel fuel rails, stainless steel coolant lines, starter, alternator, brakes, vacuum lines, all new hoses, throttle body, clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, main seal, complete tune up, including servicing transmission/transfer/diffs. The list goes on, overall stock car with original motor it has only 38,652 *miles / 62,205 km.*
I have 41k invested and will look at any reasonable offer near $30k.*

Books and two sets of Michelin tires with wheels are also included.*

Synchros were the names for the 4wd versions. I am not sure about if that is strictly for the "Van" version and not the pickup. So cool.

I love VW's but never seen one of these. Is that a gas or diesel motor? I'd love to get my hands on a diesel VW 4wd.
