    Welder

    Just picked up my first "real" welder../ no offense to my 110v harbor freight flux core.
    It's a hyl mig 180y
    Going to play with it a little over the next few weeks then tackle my cage.

    How do you move the gun when you weld flat like that?

    i do cursive e's sort of or circles going from down to up counter clockwise from left to right or if i'm going right to left i'll go clockwise make the weld lay flat and wider. I do it opposite if i'm trying to build the weld up more. Of course it depends on the weld and position to everytime but thats my general rule of thumb usually.

    Ha...That was me picking up the gun for the first time in 9 years.
    But I do pretty similar to what your talking about now. I usually try to move from right to left.
