Moon Rocks Vandalized

#1
Moonrocks NV was vandalized and treated like a trash dump from a local ravers party last weekend called Moonrocks V.II.

First brought to our attention via this post on reno4x4:

Here is the promotion pages for the event:

Oddly enough, he is a Forest Service employee with a BOS in forest management and ecology.

There is a bit more in the land use section as well:

Not that I would do something like this, but, so someone spray painted a rock. Why is this a big deal? Mother Nature will take care of itself. Give it a couple years, that crap will be gone.

I strongly and totally disagree with this. And also once there is some paint some people take it as an open invitation to add to it. And there are many places in NC, SC and GA that I have been where the paint is there from the 90s still. Paint doesnt go away. And it should be cleaned up. There are painted names and dates on the rocks behind the dam from 1991.

They also left piles of trash and burning fire pits, and the pulled up and burned two of the few trees in the area.

He should be fired, then they should charge his *** with everything they can.
Vandalism of government property for the paint.
Destruction of government property for burning the tree's.
If he made money on this, Illegally operating a business.
Then send in dhec, and watch the fines pile up for improper disposal of hazardous material. (Trash in a landfill is trash, trash in a nature preserve is hazardous waste, to that environment)

I'm a Gov. employee, and I can assure you that I would be burned alive for doing something like this on any government property. It's all about appearance. Even if the guy is a POS, it makes the entire staff there look like they are incompetent. Even if he was involved in something like this in another park, it makes them look bad. The head Ranger will be lucky to keep his job after something like this.
