Painting Aluminum

#1
So I might have just scored a great deal on Savvy Sliders and Rear Corners....

I am just not into the bare aluminum look....

Anyone know if it is possible or how difficult it is to get a good paint job on aluminum? I would be picking up the factory color of my Jeep for the corners and painting them, then painting the sliders black...

Just a good wash, self etching primer then paint and cover with a couple coats of clear?

Or is there more to it. Shane.

I used to paint a lot of aluminum when I was in the motorcycle/boat/atv business. Scuffing it with 320, 600, or slightly finer depending on the surface, clean it with rubbing alcohol, AND using self etching primer. I've never had one peel after abuse on the race track or salt water. I've read a lot people say to scuff with 80 grit but that seems a bit excess to me.
