Clock Spring for 1997 TJ w/o cruise

#4
There is a TJ junk yard in N.Ga. Don't know the name of it but go to Southern Jeeps and ask. Someone that forum will point you to them. I did hear that his parts are very pricey. Good luck.

how did you goof it up?
I don't know that I goofed it up. It worked for a while when I got the jeep. Then one day after a trip to Gulches the horn quit working and the airbag light came on. A friend of mine suggested that the clock spring was broken and that Chryslers seem to do that. I just haven't addressed it but there have been times when I wanted to lay on the horn and it didn't do me any good.
Do they really cost $150+?
I looked on RockAuto.com but do not see one listed.

Anyone know what else they are called as far as looking them up in parts stores?

Clocking spring is all I ever heard them called. Mine has been broke for about 3 years now. The only part that bothers me is the horn not working. And yes they are very pricey. I know a guy that works for a dealer and he said he could get me one for around 120.00 but I passed on it.
