Work/Welding/ Fabricating Gloves

#1
What do you use?

I had been using Mechanix Fabricator gloves, but after having the last pair fall apart on me after a few days I said I wasn't wasting that money again. I picked up a pair of leather driving gloves from Tractor Supply last friday for this weekend and they seemed to do well.

What do yall use that can take welding and grinding, but still give you decent dexterity?

I get the cheapo 3 pack of welding gloves at Harbor freight. I go through them pretty frequently but cooking the fingers if i weld alot. Or the regular canvas work gloves. I am pretty rough on gloves and also tend to misplace them so no expensive ones for me. BUT I would advise agaisnt teh cheapy mechanix knock offs at harbor freight... or at least the yellow ones. They left my hands stained yellow after one day of tower work. Hands looked jaundiced.

Tillman or black stallion mig or tig gloves non insulated or Tillman drivers depending on what doing. I like the mig and tig gloves because they're thin enough you can still have feeling and do stuff without having to remove them from being to bulky, and the cuff protects your wrist and prevents stuff from going down your sleeve. I've been thankful to many times when running a grinder and hit the cuff of my glove. Insulated welding gloves don't ever last for me, the liner always tears at the seam and bunches up. My left hand/arm gets abused a lot when I mig so I wear out left gloves a lot faster then right.

The mechanic type gloves don't ever last for me doing anything. They always tear up and fall apart. I like a full leather glove.
