My Junk

Ok, heres the pics guys. As I said in the other thread, battery is shot I assume. Won't stay charged for more than 10 minutes. Also, as I said I know little to nothing about RC stuff so here is some pics of what I have. Open to suggestions. Would like to get a little more speed out of it if possible to up the fun factor and get the battery issue handled. Need to do some sort of body as well.

haha, yeah thanks

looks like an integy lathe pro motor, probably 55t or higher with a well abused spur gear. And its got a rooster crawler. I cant tell from the pics what steering servo it has, does it turn the tires fairly well?

I have some little 1300 2S lipos that I was using till I went to 3S that you could mount much easier than the current stick pack you have. They are these http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php?productid=209&cat=10&page=1

If you want more wheel speed I would step up to a 35 turn motor. You can spend as much or as little as you want here. A good inexpensive option is from brood, the stump humper 550 in a 35turn will almost double your wheel speed.

I am all about cheap. I am trying to be as conservitive as possible untill I find a job. I am not broke but don't don't want to blow through my money I have set aside for the upcoming wheeling trips/repairs either.

Turns the tires great.

Servo is a HS-5955TC
yeah, thats a very nice servo, around $80-$90.

so, if your trying to keep the budget down, you could look into putting a larger pinion on the motor to speed it up a bit. Its probably 14 or 16 now, you could put a 20 on and that will speed it up a little for around $4.

one thing that will help tremendously is shorten your front upper links some, your pinion angle probably looks good, but your caster is horrible, you are steering into the ground.

I'll have to make Demarcus come by and show me all this stuff and where to order it. What would I need to convert to lipo?

You got any of that stuff you want to come off of at a good price? Or am I better off to hit up the interwebs? Any suggestions on where to go for the pinion gear and what not?

What would I be looking like for one of those motors?

I'll sell ya two batteries with plugs for $20, they are $15 each new.

I dont have an extra charger to sell, but you can pick up a new one that charges from a 12Volt power source for around $25, or one that will plug into the wall for around $45

$22

Sweet, ill start looking into that stuff and will prob take the batteries for sure. I may wait till someone is going that way and can bring them to me though. Tell me what to count on that pinion and ill see what I have currently. Ill prob go ahead and do all that stuff because I enjoy messing with it but it dies so fast now it blows. Maybe if I get this one going good Marcus will get off his *** and get his going again.

count the teeth on that pinion attached to the motor, some of them have the number stamped into the pinion gear, some dont.

as for the body, really depends on what you want on it. you have a bender SWX comp chassis, which is one of axials first comp chassis and can pretty much mount any comp body. Do you want a full body jeep or are you looking for a comp body?
