New JK for Guzzy

#1
Unfortunately its only 1/10 as big as I want, but it will have to do for now.

The Taco Body on my SCX10 was getting pretty beat up and cracked and I really wanted to get back to a jeep and try my hand at some more welding and fabbing. So I picked up a 4 door JK body on sale at Advantage hobby. I chose the proline body over a new Taco because it is thicker and will hopefully last longer. I also build the armor to protect the body in rollovers to help keep the body from cracking as bad. Anyways enough mumbling, here are some pics of my progress so far.

Freshly trimmed and just sitting on the chassis with the old taco bumper.

Friday while I was smoking some salmon for dinner I made up some rock rails, and then Sunday night while the rain was coming down I finished up the front and rear bumpers

I'm glad you choose when to have kids around a jeep. Melissa wants a 4 door and I told her I wouldn't let her get one till the 2012 had gone down in price.

Your tube work you did up, it's just soldered correct?

You could go to town on that thing with a tig rig and some filler wire.

the tube work is all mig welded, and its solid rod not tube.
