Divorce Transfercase Help

#1
I am trying to gain some rear driveshaft length on my project. My question is, since i am using a Samurai divorced Tcase can i eliminate the intermdiate driveshaft and just run a ujoint between the Tranny and tcase?

Pretty much eliminate the center shaft between the ujoints, and keep only one ujoint.

What do you think could be a problem? I have both gear boxes well supported.

Well I changed my motor mounts and was able to push the motor forward 2 1/2 inches. This now gives me a driveshaft of about 16 inches long. I am not sure what is too short, but is almost a match for an old driveshaft i had in my old CJ. I am going to have to get some degree shims for the springs because the XJ springs i am using, are backwards for my setup and is causing my pinion to angle down. With that and dropping the Tcase crossmember a little i can tame the rear driveshaft angle.
