Anyone look at this and have any opinions?

ford 8.8, arb, 4.88s. The gear was under load when the pattern was taken.

Isn't that the way it's supposed to look? The wear seems to be centered on each tooth, each way.

It's pretty close. Nothing I would worry about. It does look like its not a well matched set of gears. You typically see a little more contact coverage, but it's not bad!

Did u reset the gears or just checked them?

just checking them, he is going to redo them in january

I may be smoking crack, but they don't look the same. The one closest to the camera looks centered but then as you go up the line they get deeper on each tooth.

i think thats because you cant see the whole tooth except for the 1st 1.

Did you check the backlash? I've never seen a pattern with thin contact like that before, but I've never set up a ford axle before either.

I have no way of checking here at the house. I was sealing the cover because it was leaking and figured I would check the pattern

looks good to me.. but actually redo them or "redo" them
