Power Steering Pumps

There was a thread recently on pirate where patyooi or something like that took a few ps pumps apart and the per pump was the same as a stock pump with the orifice drilled. I'll see if I can find the thread.

Correct. The OE upgrade PSC pump is a mildly modes unit. To really give hydro what it needs in volume, I suggest one of the PSC hydro pumps, or swap out to a GM pump.

The easy upgrade is to the PSC CB pump which will run hydro assist with ease and works with 4.0s and 2.5s w/ factory belts. I had to run the TC pump, which is just a hopped up factory version, due to the CB not working with a 5.2 and it runs my 8 inch ram ok. The pressure at idle isn't exactly out of this world but it is slot better than the factory pump and works wonders at 750 rpm and above. If I remember correctly the GM style pump is a P pump and can be grafted onto a jeep with a little work and some companies I believe make a bracket and pulley to use the P pump in jeeps.
